#40: Follow your heart to your dream destination. (40adventuresbefore40)

Costa Rica may not seem like the dreamiest of destinations, however it's the home to a place I have absolutely fallen in love with: Nayara Springs. This unique, boutique hideaway is located in the Arenal Volcano National Park and surrounded by the lush vegetation of a pristine rainforest. Each secluded villa features its own private plunge pool fed by natural mineral hot springs and the resort (which only caters to a max of 70 guests) is the winner of multiple travel awards including Travel & Leisure's "World's Best". I can think of no better place to have celebrate my actual birthday and after four blissful nights at Nayara, I'll even fulfill the hubs travel wishlist for some beach time. We'll journey to the Hyatt Andaz on the Papagayo Coast for our last couple of days in CR.

Neither of these hotels are all-inclusive which is a normally a huge deal-breaker to my budget-conscious mind. For that reason I spent most of 2016 simultaneously saving for this vacation and trying to talk myself out of going! However, in the end my heart finally won and honestly, I'm so happy that it did. We now get to go on an adventure that's unlike any one we've been on before and I cannot wait!! :-)
